The beautiful Harbour Town of Kas

From the beautiful turquoise waters of the Mediterranean sea to the golden sands of the beaches basking in the sun, Kas is a taste of heaven on earth. A relaxed seaside town Kas overlooks the Greek Island of Meis and includes 70 kms of Mediterranean coastline backed by rocky mountains. Formely a small fishing harbour this town retains much of its original character and charm. Kas has a selective but thriving tourist industry with its attractions including archaeological remains including a small amphitheatre and monumental tombs. A new yacht marina in Kas is also due to be opened this year.
Kas is an upmarket location with a very sophisticated local cuisine and quality restaurants and shops with a wide array of handicrafts. The infastructure includes a marina, harbour with promenade, beach clubs and pedestrianised areas within the town centre. There are medical facilities within the town and the nearest hospital is a 90 minute drive away in Fetiye.

Property in Kas

The prime location in Kas is the Cukurbag Peninsula which reaches out towards Meis and is one of the most sought after parts for property in Kas with development strictly controlled and many protected areas. Undeveloped plots of land in Kas are rare and sell from 300,000 Euros. With the stunning sea views all around the island and quiet natural settings, villas on Kas peninsula now start from 500,000 Euros and can go up to 2 million Euros.

The centre of town is a mix of re-sale and new build apartments and a few villas in Kas can be built to design in the remaining land plots higher up in the hills. Prices are lower here in comparison to the Cukurbag peninsula. Villas in the Cukurbag Peninsula in Kas bring in generous rental returns due to the quiet location and stunning views.

Kas is 192 kms from Antalya airport and 160km from Dalaman airport. Ground transportation is usually by bus and taxi. Transportation between Kas and various districts is convenient. There are also regular buses from Istanbul, Ankara, Ismir and Antalya to Kas.
