Jazz Days in Capadocia

“Jazz Days” festival will be held between the 30^th of November and 4^th of December in Cappadocia for the second time. It is organized by the Culture and Tourism Ministry together with the local Municipality. All activities at the festival will be free of charge; some of the venues will have free transportation services organized by municipality.

The festival will begin  with a concert by Swing a la Turc Quartet among the magical ‘fairy chimneys’ of Cappadocia together with famous  flute artist Senol Filiz and jazz guitarist Onder Focan. The event will mark the opening of a series of shows in various cultural and historical venues.

The event this year is expected to be more impressive and attract bigger crowds with an offering of new activities, in addition to performances and meetings with musicians. A special event named “Jazz for Youth” will be organized in order to introduce the genre to young people. The workshop aims to create a sharing and learning atmosphere where jazz musicians will encourage young students to become involved in the music.
