Lorica has become a very important winter resort of southern Italy.
During the winter season there are ski slopes in the Valle dell Inferno,
(Hell Valley), that are used for the Italian Ski National Cup and some
other easier slopes. Altogether there are 259 km of trails in the forest and also Cross country ski trails.
There are good sports facilities in the area – two football pitches used for summer training by professional teams, tennis courts and mini golf. Bicycles and mountain bikes are also available for hire.
You can swim in the clear water of the lake or sunbathe on the lake beaches. Nothing disturbs the peace of the lake
as all activities are non-motorised.
